Even with fees and fines up to date, vehicle owners registered in the state of São Paulo have not been able to issue the CRLV 2022 since October through the Detran SP page. Without the Vehicle Registration and Licensing Certificate, the driver can be fined R$ 293,47 and seven points on the CNH (National Driver's License).

The problem is the following: the system for picking up Detran services accuses that there are still pending fines “on a national basis”, blocking the issuance of the document.
What to do to get CRLV 2022?
o the vehicle cannot run without being duly licensed, the reassignment, at least for the time being, is to seek the help of a specialist. That's what lawyer Paulo Antonio José Dias Junior, coordinator of the Traffic Law issue at the OAB in São Paulo, explains in an interview with Folha de São Paulo.
“If the driver cannot be without the vehicle, he can seek a specialist lawyer to file a lawsuit against the Detran asking the Justice for an injunction to suppress the lack of the document, provided, of course, that he has paid all the fees, IPVA and fines ”.
The São Paulo Traffic Department reported that since the annual licensing became digital, which started in May 2020, any unavailability in the system could affect the use of the service.
Some drivers tried to solve the problem personally at the Poupatempo units, however, the scheduling may only be for December depending on the unit. The service reported that it will make new vacancies available to optimize calls.
The good news is that a solution for the error is planned for the month of November. According to the DMV SP schedule, vehicles ending in 7 and 8 on the license plate should have their licensing up to date by October. In November, the deadline ends for the final 9 plates.
