the novelty, the list of products rises to 23 and it finally includes the backup of the devices, the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Apple Watch and the company's computers. End-to-End Encryption in the US

Apple says that some categories of backups remain traditional encryption: iCloud Email, Contacts and Calendar. The company's justification for leaving these services out of the new list is their interoperability with other companies, such as Google and Microsoft.

Traditional encryption, used by Apple for a long time, means that the apple company has the key to access content stored in iCloud. In other words, it can help the user if he needs access at some point.

End-to-end encryption makes this key present only on devices where the Apple account is logged in. this it cannot help the user in the same way, in addition to not getting access to the data if someone asks for it, or the judiciary.

For now, end-to-end encryption on the new services stored in iCloud is only for users within a testing program, limited to the United States. Apple says the beta will expand to other countries over the next year, starting in early 2023.
