Not that it's new at this point, but Elon Musk, CEO of Neuralink, SpaceX, Boring company and Tesla, now has 10 confirmed children. We say “confirmedly” because, given the comings and goings of the richest billionaire in the world, there are those who raise rumors that this account is a little higher – at least 11 heirs, according to some.
The youngest children are twins, the result of a relationship between the businessman and one of his employees – Shivon Zilis, Director of Operations and Special Projects at Neuralink – and were born in November 2021, according to information released by the Business Insider portal.

the birth of the twins, Elon Musk has 10 children – nine living heirs and one (his firstborn) who died as a baby. Even more unusual is the timing of the twins' arrival: a month before the second child of businessman and singer Grimes (whose real name is Claire Boucher), Exa Dark Sideræl Musk. Musk and Grimes broke up in September 2021, tried to get back together in 2022, but in March, they finally parted ways. Officially, Musk is single.
Elon Musk's first child, Nevada Alexander Musk, was born in 2002 and would have been 20 today. Regrettably, at 10 months of life, he was affected by Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), a problem defined by specialists or “defined as the unexpected death of children under one year old that remains unexplained after extensive investigation that includes clinical history, necropsy complete and review of the place of death”. Musk and his then-wife, author Justine Wilson, noticed that Nevada wasn't breathing when they put him to sleep.
Despite the tragedy of their first pregnancy, Musk and Wilson decided to continue trying to be parents and, thanks to an in vitro fertilization process, in April 2014 they welcomed Griffin and Vivian.
Little is known about both of them, who prefer to stay away from social networks, but recently, Vivian, after turning 18, filled out formal requests to change her name after coming out as a transgender woman, in June of this year: she petitions for the removal of her surname of the father and the adoption of the mother's new first name and maiden name (thus becoming "Vivian Wilson"), citing "respect for my gender identity and the fact that I no longer live nor wish to have any relationship with my biological father” or justifications. Transphobic comments made by Elon Musk in the past, according to several US celebrity portals, would have resonated badly with his daughter.
Two years later, Musk welcomed the third, fourth and fifth of his 10 children – triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian Musk. All 16-year-olds today also have an attachment to privacy, and little is known about the three. After that, Elon Musk and Justine Wilson would split.
After some relationships that were quite famous in Hollywood (more on that below), Elon Musk took on his relationship with electronic music singer Grimes, in May 2018. Two years later, the couple gave birth to X AE A-XII Musk, wide press coverage. Originally, the baby was named "X Æ A-12", but the characters "Æ" and the number "12" were in violation of California law, which does not allow naming terms that are not part of the alphabet.
Grimes, however, would later reveal during an interview that Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, the youngest daughter of his relationship with the billionaire, was received in November 2021. Thus, his older brother (who received the codename “X” to hide him from media), Exa was called “Y” for the same reason.
Still picking up the bill? Great, because now we come to the most recent children: little is known about their relationship, but Elon Musk and Shivon Zilis would have met in 2016, when she held the position of consultant at OpenAI. Musk was part of the board of directors, which he left in 2018. In 2017, however, Zilis itself would leave the artificial intelligence laboratory and join Neuralink's staff.
So far, it is only known that Elon Musk is again the father of twins – the most recent two of 10 children. Details of the name and gender of each have yet to be released, but the parents have filed applications to change the names of both children so that they reflect "have the father's surname and contain the mother's surname as part of their middle names." .
The request was granted by a judge in Austin, Texas – and such documentation has to be made public for recognition purposes, that's how Business Insider found out about their existence. Still, information is still pretty sparse – and considering that Zilis maintains a strictly work-oriented Twitter profile and deleted her Instagram account after rumors about her children started to float around, that should remain that way for some time to come.
But after all, does Elon Musk have 10 or 11 children?
Here is where the speculations begin. Given the secretive profile that Musk maintains regarding his officially recognized children, it's to be expected that anyone born outside of any longer-term relationship or involved in love turmoil would be even more difficult to get any information about - if indeed there is any reality. in the case, in the first place.
The child's name is Oonagh Paige Heard, and she is the daughter of actress Amber Heard, who you may recognize from "Mera", character from the movie Aquaman, or from the troubled lawsuit filed against her by her ex-husband, actor Johnny Depp, which she would later defeat.
Including doubts about the paternity of Oonagh Paige came because of the trial: in the name of privacy, Heard rarely lets any report of her daughter appear in the media, save for a few photos here and there on her official Instagram profile. During the trial, however, the actress allowed herself to quote her own daughter, saying that she wanted to "move on" from the whole situation for "being a mother".
The girl, born on April 8, 2021, was the subject of a project, according to Amber Heard herself, imagined by the actress four years earlier: Heard had the desire to be a mother to re-establish the bond she had with a child of her generation. own mother, who died a few years earlier.
In July 2021, the actress revealed Oonagh Paige Heard to the world through her profile on the Meta social network, saying that she decided to be a mother “on her own terms”, without needing an actively present father and that she hoped that “it would become [something] normalized not wanting a wedding ring to get a crib”.

Heard has said in a few interviews that Oonagh was born via IVF via a sperm donor that she prefers to keep anonymous. She never said, however, if she knew the identity of the biological father or if he was chosen from a bank, anonymously. “I'm just mom and dad, and she [Oonagh] is my boss,” said the actress in an interview with Hello! magazine.
Rumors, however, have been surrounding the child since before she came to light: theoretically, Amber Heard cannot have children, which has led – and still leads – to speculation that not only the father is a donor, but the mother biological is also a “surrogacy”, possibly, the cinematographer Bianca Butti, whom Heard became firmly involved and separated during the filming of Aquaman 2, which has not yet reached the big screen.
However, shortly after splitting from Depp, Heard dated Elon Musk. The timing of the relationship made Depp question, however, whether the romance between the actress and the technology tycoon had started an extramarital affair. For the star of Pirates of the Caribbean, “there is no doubt” that Elon Musk is the genetic donor of Oonagh Paige Heard, and he tried to take this to the process – effectively forcing Musk to be called the witness -, which did not happen.
Anyway, in the same way that “sources say” that yes, there are “sources that deny it”. In practice, this discussion should not yield any results, and Elon Musk should remain 10 children - until, at least, the man who said that humanity is doomed and that we need to get pregnant more decides to make his own argument.
