Grand Theft Auto V is a phenomenon in the world of games and it is not new. Launched in 2013, the title remains on the bestseller list on the planet even 9 years after its original release. The reason for such a long life is the multiplayer feature in the form of GTA Online. And also the dedication of players who created GTA RP mods – or roleplay.
GTA RP is based on the PC version of GTA V which, aided by the FiveM software, completely transforms the game, allowing players to create their own stories in a world shared by other people. In the world of GTA RP each one has a function: one player is a simple pizza delivery man who has a fixed schedule to work, another can be a taxi driver, for example.
It is important to note that GTA RP is not a mod recognized by Rockstar, and, although there are no reports of banning players from the modified version, it may happen that the company prevents those who have GTA RP installed from being able to play GTA Online on the official servers.

What is GTARP?
GTA RP, or Grand Theft Auto Roleplay, is a GTA modification that adds an online multiplayer mode to the game and allows players to live almost a second life within Rockstar's game universe. In GTA RP, a pizza delivery guy needs to act like a pizza delivery guy, while a taxi driver needs to act like a taxi driver would. It is essential that players stay in character for the experience to flow as expected. The fun, including, is in the fact that players need to act within what was assigned to them.
GTA RP's online multiplayer mode is added from the FiveM software. It is the mod that transforms GTA V's single player mode into a multiplayer adventure. To play, you need to join one of the GTA RP servers. Not all of them are public, some may even do an interview before accepting a new player (we'll talk about the servers below).
There is also a version of GTA RP available for Android phones. It is very different from the PC: while on GTA V computers the base version is used for multiplayer, on smartphones the base version is the classic GTA San Andreas. This is mainly due to the fact that there is no official port of GTA V for mobile phones, while GTA San Andreas has been sold for mobile devices for years.

To play GTA RP, it is essential that you have GTA V installed on your computer. It can be the version available on Steam, the Epic Games Store or even the one sold directly by Rockstar – the important thing is to have the game.
Having the game installed, it is necessary to download the FiveM mod. To do so, go to the modification's official website and click on “Download Client” in the button that appears right on the homepage.
After installing the mod, open the created file on your computer and log in to your Rockstar Games Social Club account – if you don't have one, just create one. Then click on “Language” and select “Portuguese”. Then, in “Servers”, just choose one of the Spaniards to play with.
The requirements to play GTA RP are the same as GTA V. This means you need a PC at minimum:
- Operational system: Windows 8 64 bit or higher (Reposted Windows 10 latest updates installed);
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Q6600 or better, AMD Phenom 9850 or better
- Memory: 4 GB of RAM;
- GPU: Nvidia 9800 GT 1GB or higher; AMD HD 4870 1GB or greater;
- Disk Space: 72 GB for the game and 4 GB for the mod.

GTA RP can also be played on Android phones, but the experience is not the same as on PC. This is because of the base version of the game that is used for the modification: while on computers GTA V is used, on mobile devices it is GTA San Andreas. the game installed, one of the ways to play the roleplay on an Android cell phone is from the SA-MP Launcher software, which is basically a version of the FiveM mod aimed at smartphones. The mod can be downloaded directly from the Google Play Store – click here to access the app page.
After installing SA-MP Launcher, open the app and follow the onscreen instructions. Tap the “Install Game” button and confirm the selection. The software will ask if you prefer manual or automatic installation – select automatic to go faster. When asked if you prefer the Full or Lite version, choose according to the conditions of your cell phone: Lite takes up less space (900 mb), being more advantageous for basic devices with little internal space, while Full (2.3 GB) offers an experience fuller.
Wait for the installation to complete and open the app. Under “Servers”, you will find a list of public GTA RP servers for Android. Look for the ones labeled “BR” to find the Spanish ones. Some of the top servers in Brazil are Play Vicio RP, BMRP, Brasil Real Life, Brasil RolePlay, Spanishos Online RolePlay, Modern City Roleplay, Brasil New Star and Brasil New Style.

To play GTA RP, it is essential to read and agree with the rules defined by the servers. This ensures that the experience is as idealized, that is, that everyone present follows the role of the characters. Anyone who violates the rules can be suspended or banned from the server.
Depending on the server, your character may only wear the clothes on his back, needing guidance from the unit to grow within the game.
Although GTA RP is GTA in essence, don't expect a game similar to the single player mode of Rockstar's title. That is, in the modified version, players are not allowed to go out killing or robbing other players, and resources for going and fueling are limited.
Main terms of GTA RP
- metagaming: GTA RP players are expected to roleplay characters, the practice known as "metagaming" is prohibited. This means that acquiring any knowledge outside and applying it inside the game is considered a violation of the rules. Therefore, do not combine actions with friends outside the game, since, within the game, you must act as if you didn't know each other;
- Powergaming: is when the character intentionally performs actions that would not be possible in real life;
- RDM (random deathmatch): is when a player kills another for no reason;
- VDM (vehicle deathmatch): when a player kills another run over;
- OCC (our of character): when the player disrespects the role assigned to him, making the character act in ways that do not suit him;
- White list: is when a server requires a registration and interview to accept a player in the game;
- bat logging: is when the player leaves the game during some action to benefit;
- safe zone: where players spawn within the server.
Main servers of GTA RP
Uptown
The best known of the GTA RP servers, Cidade Alta was created by LOUD and is where the main streamers and celebrities are. Here the rules need to be followed to the letter, strong and active moderation ensuring that no one gets out of character.
The success of the Cidade Alta server even led brands to create actions within the game, such as iFood's virtual couriers, for example. To enter, you must go through a selection process from the Cidade Alta server on Discord.
plexiglass
Another very popular server is Plexus, maintained by the organization Fluxo players Nobru and Ceral being some of its big names. Within the plexus, concerts are also held, and the city is constantly updated with news. The server also has very strict moderation to prevent players from breaking character. To access it, you must go through a selection process via Discord.
nopixel
Another traditional and popular server is NoPixel. Although he is not exactly Spanish, he is used a lot by players from Brazil. An active and strict moderation, it requires players to stay in character at all times. To access it, you need to go through a selection process – registration can be done through the official NoPixel website.
