Developer Endnight Games has announced that the release of its next game, Sons of the Forest, sequel to The Forest (2014), has been delayed. The game would be released on May 20 of this year, however, the publisher preferred to play the premiere date for October 2022 to deliver a more complete title “vision”.
"Hi everyone! In recent weeks, we've realized that Sons Of The Forest's May 2022 release date was overly ambitious. In order to deliver on our vision of the next step in survival gaming, we've decided to move our release date to October 2022," the Endnight team wrote on Twitter.

According to Eurogamer, Sons of the Forest is a survival horror game in which the player assumes the role of Eric Leblanc. The character searches for his son after a terrible plane crash deep in an isolated forest. However, while living through the already traumatic event, players must fight cannibalistic monsters while surviving in the wild.
The title sequel was officially announced in 2019 and in November last year it won the release window. Information about the game is scarce and Endnight Games has released few images of the new game. Check out one of the trailers below!
Recently, another title much anticipated by fans was also postponed. Rocksteady's Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has officially been rescheduled for 2023. The announcement was made by Sefton Hill, director of the game, on his Twitter account.
