A series of new emojis arrived in the first beta version of iOS 15.4, the iPhone's operating system. Among the highlights are a melting face, a pregnant man, a disco ball and several handshakes between different races.
The update is part of the reissues released by Unicode in September 2021. Although it is only available to developers at the moment, it is expected to be released to the public between March and April of this year.
It is important to remember that this is a beta version. Thus, until the official release, these 62 emojis may change or no longer be part of the update package.

What are the new emojis?
Seven new types of smileys will be included, the most since the iOS 2017 11.1 update. Between them:
- melting face
- Smiley hand on mouth and open eyes
- little face saluting
- Smiley peeking through fingers
- transparent face
- good face diagonal
- Smiley holding the cry
Another focus of the update has been on increasing gender representation. Thus, in this package three new images were introduced: crown person, pregnant person and a pregnant man.
In addition, seven new types of hand gestures have been included, each of which supports changing skin tone as well. The highlight in this group is the hand making the mini heart symbol.
Still in this beta version, you will find 25 handshake options. In total, there are 20 handshake images between people of different races.
Finally, new emojis will be added in the “Animals and Nature”, “Goes and Drinks”, “Objects” and “Symbols” sections:
