WhatsApp beta for Android now lets you use your account on another phone or tablet

WhatsApp now allows beta users to link their accounts to a secondary phone or Android tablet. The feature, known as panion mode, comes to WhatsApp beta for Android in version 2.22.24.18.

Thus, it becomes possible to use a single WhatsApp account on a second phone to a main account. According to WABetaInfo, this new mode makes it possible to connect up to four Android phones to a main account, full access to all normal functionality and encryption of WhatsApp messages.

To activate panion mode on your WhatsApp beta app for Android, just go to the menu in the upper right corner of your secondary phone's registration screen and select the “Link a device” option. For now, the feature is only available to some beta users, while a wider rollout will take more time.

Like on Android smartphones, it will also be possible to connect an Android tablet to an existing WhatsApp account. Likewise, the feature is only available to some beta testers for now. It is found under the linked devices beta option in the devices section of the settings menu. The pairing process is simple and done by scanning a QR code.

Do not disturb: WhatsApp develops update for missed calls

WhatsApp continues to try to renew its application and has been developing new updates for users. According to information from WABetaInfo, Meta messenger is producing a “Do Not Disturb” mode for the missed calls tab.



The current compatibility of the new feature is in beta for the Android 2.22.24.17 system, other older versions also having the possibility to test the tool. So far, the mode is only available on WhatsApp beta.
