WhatsApp: update brings changes to group chats

The beta remains the testing ground for WhatsApp and now, yet another update is available. In the update, Meta's application is introducing changes to group conversations that allow you to view members' profile photos in the chat.

Previously, WhatsApp made the new feature available for the beta version of the iOS system. At that time, desktop version 2.2245.3 testers will be able to try out the new update, which shows a group chat aesthetic similar to Telegram, the messenger's competitor.

the update, photos of group members are visible next to bubbles in messages sent. The new addition in the interface, therefore, can make it easier for other participants to recognize other members faster, as well as being a good alternative to people of the same name in the group.

On the other hand, the default profile icon will be displayed if the member leaves it hidden due to WhatsApp privacy settings. In this case, an icon colored in the color of the contact name will appear.

So far, there is no forecast for the update to be released to the general WhatsApp public. In beta, only desktop and iOS testers are experiencing the tool, but the Android system should receive the functionality in the future.
