Since the release of “CS:GO” in 2012, several people have wondered about a possible introduction of Source 2 in the game. After several false speculations and a lack of position on the part of Valve, a group of fans decided to carry out this work.
User Gabe Follower, on his Twitter profile, made a publication that reveals a gameplay of “CS: GO” recreated by Valve's graphics engine. According to Follower, his team did not use a single line of code from the original game, seeking to avoid copyright infringement, and the project should be posted on the GitHub platform soon.
When observing the video posted by the user, it is possible to notice that the recreated version is still in the early stages, due to animation problems and the existence of only one map option. However, the project would feature all weapons from “CS:GO” and should have continuous updates.
