As much as “Sonic 2” is still on display, attention is already turning to the sequel, “Sonic – The Movie 3”, which is scheduled for 2024 and will bring an iconic character from games to the cinema.
"Sonic the Movie 2" is still showing in theaters, but attention is already starting to turn to the next film in the franchise.
If things go as planned, "Sonic the Movie 3" arrives in 2024. Writers Pat Casey and Josh Miller confirmed at KCC ic-Con 2022 that Paramount's plan is to release the sequel within the next two years, and added some Details of the new film.
Shadow, the iconic black hedgehog of games, will be a prominent character in the third film, and Paramount is reportedly looking for a Hollywood actor to voice him. In addition, the writers stated that they will seek inspiration for scenes from the next film in two games: Sonic Adventures 2 and Shadow the Hedgehog.

If the idea is to give a lot of attention to Shadow in “Sonic – The Movie 3”, choosing these two productions to seek inspiration for the film makes a lot of sense. Shadow was introduced in Sonic Adventures 2, and was so successful among fans that he earned his own game, Shadow the Hedgehog.
