The movie “Thor: Love and Thunder”, the latest release of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in theaters, won its premiere date on Disney +.
Fourth solo film of the hero Thor, “Love and Thunder” is the second film of the God of Thunder directed by Taika Waititi, after the critical and public success of “Thor: Ragnarok“.
This time, Chris Hemsworth's Thor finds a new adventure, trying to stop the plan of the Butcher of the Gods, Gorr, lived by Christian Bale. For this, he will count on the help of an unexpected heroine, his human ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, played by Natalie Portman, who becomes the Mighty Thor after taking control of the hammer Mjolnir.
Despite the great cast and return of the acclaimed director, "Thor: Love and Thunder" had mixed receptions, and was not as popular as its predecessor. But that didn't stop the film from crossing the $700 million mark at the global box office.
The film hit theaters on July 7th, and now has its premiere date on Disney+ for September 8th, right on the commemorative date called Disney+ Day, alongside other titles that also arrive on this day.

Check out the official synopsis for “Thor: Love and Thunder”: “The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he has ever faced – a quest for inner peace, but his retirement is interrupted by a galactic assassin known as the Gorr, the Butcher of the Gods (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To beat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who - to Thor's surprise - inexplicably wields her magic hammer, Mjolnir, revealing the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark on a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the Butcher of the Gods' vengeance and stop him before it's too late."
“Thor: Love and Thunder” arrives on Disney+ on September 8.
