The third season of “Bridgerton” has already started filming and Netflix took the opportunity to announce that the series has gained three new actors for the cast: Daniel Francis, Sam Phillips and James Phoon.
Starring "Galway" actress Nicola Coughlan, the new season will focus on the love between Penelope Featherington, played by Coughlan, and Colin Bridgerton, played by Luke Newton.
In an interview for the Variety podcast last month, the Penelope actress, when asked whether the new season will be sexier or not, revealed that there will be steamy scenes in line with the mood of the first season of “Bridgerton”.
Synopsis:
Penelope is more determined than ever to find a husband. As we know, Pen values her independence, and the marriage will give her the freedom to keep up with her Lady Whistledown ruse - and stay as far away from her mother and sisters as possible.
Unfortunately for Pen though, things don't exactly go to plan, the marriage market proving to be tougher than ever. At the same time, Colin returned from his summer trips sporting not only a new swagger, but a new look as well. Penelope, still scorned by Colin's harsh words, could care, and she does everything she can to get rid of her former best friend, much to Colin's dismay.
In an attempt to rebuild their friendship and get back in her good graces, Colin offers to help Pen find the confidence she needs in the matchmaking market. This works a little too well, pushing Colin to face his true feelings for Penelope, whether they're friendly or a lot more fervent.

But what would a season about Penelope be without #Peneloise? While Penelope and Colin must discover the true nature of their relationship, Penelope and Eloise are at an equal crossroads in their friendship. with Penelope's new presence in society threatening Lady Whistledown's secret and Eloise finding a new friend in an unlikely place, the rift that formed between the two at the end of last season threatens to grow ever wider.
