Netflix raises prices in Brazil; check subscription plans

The prices of Netflix plans in Brazil will increase from this Thursday (22). The readjustments on the streaming platform come two years after the last time the service raised prices in the country, in March 2019. Now, subscriptions will cost from R$ 25,90, for the basic plan, to R$ $55,90, on the premium plan.

Netflix argued, in an official note, that the increase in the value of the service happens to offer a better experience for users. The company also added the expansion of the platform's catalog of original series and films, both made in Brazil and abroad. In addition, the company must invest in the games sector, games related to original titles, 'Stranger Things'.

Within an additional 30 days, these customers may decide to change plans or cancel the service. The exact date, however, depends on each billing date.
