Adam Driver says "not against" relive Kylo Ren in "Star Wars"

Actor Adam Driver, 38, admitted in a recent interview that he would give new life to the character Kylo Ren, who lived during the most recent trilogy of Disney's Star Wars franchise. According to a conversation between the actor and UNILAD, his only requirement is that “great filmmakers” be involved in an eventual new film.

"No, I'm not totally against [playing Kylo Ren again]," Driver told the site. “For me, the first denominator is the production of the film, so my only requirement is to work with great filmmakers. The size of the project, that never interested me to some extent. I always look to follow the people I would be interested in working with, and also if I feel like the right guy for the role – things like that. So no, I'm definitely not against it."

Adam Driver brought the character Kylo Ren to life in the three most recent films in the Star Wars franchise: “The Force Awakens” (2015); “The Last Jedi” (2017) and “The Rise of Skywalker” (2019).

According to canon, Ren is the son of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher), as well as the nephew and former student of Jedi Master Luke Skywalker (Mark Hammil) – born “Ben Solo”, the then young padawan. succumbed to the dark side of the Force and became one of the villains of the new series. One of the most praised aspects of the recent trilogy was the Californian actor's portrayal of the character.

However, the character's conclusion in "The Skywalker Ascension" was considered below expectations for what, according to most fans, was the most interesting piece of the three films so far.

The next project in the Star Wars franchise in theaters is, theoretically, Rogue Squadron, directed by Patty Jenkins, but the feature has been postponed to an undetermined date, according to information from the Hollywood Reporter. Some said “creative differences” between the director and Disney, while others said that the postponement is a matter of agenda: Jenkins, who directed the two Wonder Woman films, is already confirmed for a third feature in the DC heroine , in addition to signing a production focused on Cleopatra, queen of Egypt.

As for Adam Driver, two films in which he participates – “White Noise” and “65” – are already in post-production and should premiere, both, in early 2022.
