    In recent days, since the death of Queen Elizabeth II, rumors have been circulating on the internet that the series “The Simpsons” would have predicted the date of the death of the monarch. However, fact-checkers did the job of checking whether the memes were true.


    The animated series “The Simpsons” is known for predicting future events, and several bizarre coincidences have already happened, elevating the yellow family series to psychic status, fans making incessant searches for more than 700 episodes of the production in order to find predictions every major fact of the day.



    In the case of the death of Queen Elizabeth II, several videos and memes began to appear on social networks, some going viral on TikTok, pointing to a possible prediction. One of these videos already has over 27 million views.

    It shows an animated version of the Queen, who appears in a coffin below a plaque reading: "Elizabeth II: 1926-2022". Additionally, the clip shows a sticker that displays the date September 8, 2022, the day Queen Elizabeth II died.

    However, it has already been confirmed that this, the many other videos and photos that circulate on the web in various social networks, are fan creations or alterations of original images of “The Simpsons”. According to fact-checking organizations PolitiFact and Lead Stories, no episode of "The Simpsons" contains the date of the Queen's death.

    According to the fan-run website Wikisimpsons, Queen Elizabeth II has appeared six times as a character on "The Simpsons," including a season 15 episode titled "The Queen's Monologues," in which Homer wrecks the queen's carriage.

    The series “The Simpsons” is famous for predicting major world events, and some examples are quite impressive: In an episode in the year 2000, the series made a joke that Donald Trump would become the president of the United States.
