Understand the sagas and phases of the films and series of the Marvel Universe

Marvel Studios divides its Cinematographic Universe into sagas and phases, set by the films and series of the great Marvel heroes.

There are now two great Sagas released by Marvel. The first of these is the Infinity Saga, which is posed by the first three phases of the MCU, ranging from “Iron Man”, the first film in the shared universe released in 2008, to “Spider-Man: Far From Home”, which closed the saga of the events immediately after "Avengers: Endgame".

Now, during San Diego ic-Con, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige introduced the Multiverse Saga, which has been ongoing since the release of "WandaVision", opening up Phase 4 of the MCU in early 2021, and will run through the end of Phase 6, whose films began to be announced.

We separate the films and series of the Marvel Universe into their phases, to facilitate the understanding of the divisions made by Marvel Studios.

Infinity Saga

Phase 1

The first phase of the MCU introduced Marvel's top heroes, resulting in "The Avengers", the first major reunion of heroes. Tony Stark kicks things off by designing his suit, Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow, is introduced in the "Iron Man" sequel. But before that, a Bruce Banner still played by Edward Norton ends up becoming the Hulk.

Thor and his brother Loki are also introduced in the first phase, as is Captain America, who takes us to World War II, when he becomes the first Avenger. Finally, "The Avengers" brings together the heroes presented for the episode known as "The Battle of New York".
