Spoiler alert! This Thursday (3), 'The Batman' hit theaters and of course the classic question every fan asks wouldn't be left out: does the film have post-credits scenes or not? Well, that depends on what you understand (and consider) a post-credits scene.
That's because on the one hand, no. Especially because if the expectation is something in the style of Marvel, links to new films that taste of wanting more, it will be frustrated. The director, Matt Reeves, does not clearly continue the story told in the first production of the new franchise, and thus, the signs pass normally.
That is, there is no indication of continuation. However, if we analyze it from another point of view, we can say that there is a post-credits scene in 'The Batman'. A quick message appears on the screen, as if it were an invitation that refers to what is watched in the feature, a farewell.
On a screen similar to the one the Riddler uses to unite with Batman, the message "bye bye" is revealed. Looking like just a joke, the scene may indicate the possibility of the villain's return in future films in the franchise, which will expand into at least two more live-action series on HBO Max.
What is intriguing is that the public can access the same communication channel that appears in the film and interact as if they were a detective trying to unravel the riddles of the Riddler.
The film is now showing in theaters across Brazil. But a lot of people are interested in finding out when the movie will hit the streaming platform HBO Max, so after the 2021 strategy of releasing movies simultaneously on HBO Max and in theaters, WarnerMedia decided to give more time for the exclusive release in theaters, but not that long either.
In addition, Jason Killar (CEO of WarnerMedia) gave an interview to the podcast “Recode Media with Peter Kafka“, where he discussed the company's strategies, including film releases. That's because when the podcast host brought up the subject of things going back to the way they were before after the simultaneous release period that happened last year, he rejected the idea.
