Actor Kevin Spacey has returned to the headlines around the world because of seven new accusations of sexual offenses against him in the UK.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), the main public body for conducting criminal proceedings in England and Wales, authorized the charges against the actor, which add to five others conducted against him in June this year.

"The CPS has authorized additional criminal charges against Kevin Spacey, 63, for multiple sexual assaults against a male between 2001 and 2004," Rosemary Ainslie (via Deadline), head of the CPS Special Criminal Division, said Wednesday.
“The CPS also authorized a charge of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent. The authority to prosecute follows a review of the evidence collected by the Metropolitan Police in its investigation,” continued Ainslie. “The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that the criminal proceedings against Mr. Spacey are active and that he is entitled to a fair trial.”
In July, Spacey entered a not guilty plea for the original five charges, which relate to three men who are now in their 30s and 40s and allegedly took place between 2005-2013. He will be tried in June 2023.
These new allegations come after Kevin Spacey, a two-time Academy Award-winning actor best known for the film "American Beauty" and the Netflix series "House of Cards", was found not guilty in the high-profile sexual misconduct lawsuit based on accusations by him as well. actor Anthony Rapp.
In August of this year, Spacey was ordered to pay $31 million to the "House of Cards" production company over allegations of behind-the-scenes sexual misconduct on the series.
