If you noticed something suspicious on Netflix, the first step to be taken to find out if someone has used your account is to check your recent activity history. Look:
- Go to the Netflix website and log in to your account;
- Select your main profile;
- When hovering your mouse over your “avatar”, click on “Account”;
- Access the option “Recent activity on the device”;
- See the list of accesses made to your Netflix account.
The list that Netflix displays brings information about the country, MAC address or IP and type of devices that accessed your account. From there it is easy for you to identify undue access.
What to do if someone has accessed your account
If, through the previous steps, you found that someone accessed your account, you must change your password immediately. For this, follow these steps:
- On your profile screen, go to your “avatar” and click on “Account”;
- Access the option “Change password”;
- Fill in the fields as indicated and leave the option “Require new password login on all devices”.
This way, when you open the Netflix application on your devices, you will need to enter the new password. Still a supplementary step, in your account settings screen it is advisable to use the option “Close session on all devices” to end any session that may be open.
