Nowadays, with the advancement of technology, you no longer need to travel to have one of your most important documents in your hands: the CPF. In addition to several government applications that scan the document, you can also print it online and keep it in your wallet, in case it is necessary to prove the physical form of the registration.
Since 2011, the plastic CPF is no longer issued by the Federal Revenue, thus validating the paper format. For younger people who will request the document, it is necessary to appear at one of the agencies of Banco do Brasil, Caixa Econômica Federal or Correios and present an official identity document to obtain the number. Then, the taxpayer must access the IRS page on the internet and print the proof that attests to the authenticity of the document.
This also applies to the 2nd copy of the document and, according to the Revenue website, printing can be done “as many times as necessary”. the change, public agencies and companies cannot require citizens to present their CPF card in plastic format to prove their enrollment.

1. Access the Federal Revenue page to print the CPF through the following link https://receita.economia.gov.com/orientacao/tributaria/cadastros/cadastro-de-pessoas-fisicas-cpf/servicos/provante-de-inscricao -no-cpf
2. Select from the available issuing options:
2.1. Simplified printing: who did not declare or was exempt from declaring income tax in the last two years. On the next page, just enter your personal data and click on “send”:
Some security characters will appear for you to type. Insert them in the indicated field and touch “Ok”;
The document in its digital form will already appear to you. To print, click on “Prepare page for printing”;
On the next page, click on “Print” and define the printer. Then tap on “Print” or “Save”, if you chose to save the PDF document on your computer.
2.2. Virtual Service (e-CAC): anyone who declared income tax in at least one of the last two years must access this option. On the next page, just choose between two login methods (access code or unified gov.com access) and fill in your details:
In the e-CAC, you must select the “Registration” item in the top menu and then “Proof of Enrollment in the CPF”:

2.3. Attendance code printing: who applied for the issuance of the CPF through a post office, Banco do Brasil or Caixa Econômica Federal or through the Ministry of Labor and Employment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the issuance of Real Estate Securities. In this option, you will have access to the progress of your request and the printing of proof of enrollment in the CPF.
On the next page, add the place, code and date of attendance, your date of birth and select “Consult” and follow the next steps indicated:
