The function allows you to play what is already saved on your device even without an internet connection. Which can be of great help when traveling, for example.
How to download music from Deezer on your cell phone?
In the case of Deezer, Deezer Student, Premium, Family and HiFi plans support the feature. Before you can listen to your songs offline, you need to download them.
Under the terms of the service, it is not possible to download individual tracks unless the user first adds the content to a given playlist.
1. To download music on Deezer, go to an album or playlist and tap on the three dots on the upper right side.
2. Then tap 'Download'.
By default, Deezer only downloads when your phone is connected to Wi-Fi, a way to avoid extra charges on your mobile data package.
You can modify this setting if you like in Settings (gear icon) > Audio. Then, scroll down and activate the highlighted button to be able to download via mobile network as well.
Activate offline mode on Deezer
1. To turn on offline mode on Deezer, go to 'Settings' by tapping the gear icon in the top right corner.
2. Scroll to 'Offline Mode' and tap the switch to enable the feature.
Finally, know that Deezer also has a desktop application in which the subscriber can also download and listen to his favorite content later. To do so, just go to an album or playlist, click on the three dots icon and then 'Download'.

Spotify subscribers can also listen to their favorite songs even without internet. The platform even allows you to download podcasts in its free version.
In Premium plans, it is also possible to download albums and playlists with a limitation of up to 10 songs per device on 5 different devices.
An important tip is to go online at least once every 30 days to keep your downloads. According to Spotify, this is necessary for the platform to be able to collect track usage data to pay copyright to artists.

Before you start, know that Spotify doesn't allow you to download individual songs either. To do this, you need to create and download an entire playlist.
To download an album, for example, just tap the highlighted download icon.
By default, it is also not possible to download content without a Wi-Fi connection. To allow mobile data usage for downloads, tap the gear icon on the top right side > 'Audio Quality'. In the 'Download' section, enable the 'Download via cellular network' option.
To download content through the desktop application, the process is basically the same, that is, just access the album or playlist you want to save and click on the download icon.
A tip that applies to both services is: check first if there is enough free space on your devices so you don't have problems with downloads.
Enable offline mode on Spotify
In offline mode, as said before, only downloaded content will be played. To activate it on Spotify via mobile, access the settings menu via the gear icon > 'Playback' > activate the 'Offline' option.
If the function is turned on, songs and podcasts that you have not downloaded will be grayed out and will not be available for playback.
Finally, to activate the feature on PC, click on the three dots on the upper left side > 'File' > 'Offline mode'.
