Instagram Stories is one of the tools most used by users of the social network. That's because it's practical, lasts only 24 hours and fits perfectly in that simpler post that sometimes isn't worth a space in the feed. Through it, we interact and even post moments from our daily lives – and that is why we don't always want everyone to see and know about our private life.
To provide more privacy, the social network added the option "Best Friends", a personalized list of closest friends who are the only ones allowed to see certain publications in the Story field.

The option appears in the “Hide story from” application settings field, so you hide your Stories from specific people, including lives, which are live videos. But what almost nobody knows is that the lack of “Highlights” on the person's Instagram can be an indication that you are really blocked.
Highlights are made up of Stories that the user decided to pin on their Instagram profile. If these published contents are hidden from you, it will probably not be possible to view the pinned Stories either, as Instagram understands that they are the same thing, thus sharing the same configuration.
Important: to be able to check it, you either need to remember whether or not the person had “Highlights” on their profile, or access another account page that will not be blocked and, therefore, making it possible to view Stories and Highlights.

Remembering that this is just a tip that may or may not indicate that you are no longer part of that person's Stories “viewers” list. Hiding someone's Story does not prevent them from accessing your profile, liking and viewing your photos, or sending you direct messages.
