Did you know that your CNH has a security code, just like credit cards? The driver's license security number is essential for anyone who wants to have a digital CNH and many have no idea how to find the code when asked.
With that in mind, we have prepared a tutorial for you to understand what it is for and identify the key.
The CNH code serves to protect the driver against fraud using the document. It started to appear in the qualifications in 2017 and a QR Code appears on the inside of the paper qualification.
It is essential to have the code for when you request the issuance of the electronic wallet through the Carteira Digital de Trânsito (CDT) app or to also have it through the Federal Revenue application, the Digital CPF, which unified the two documents (CPF and CNH ).

Important: people with older qualifications may have difficulties finding the code and requesting the CNH Digital. Therefore, the driver must first request a duplicate of the license to then have an updated document and only then continue the request for the digital document at the Denatran or Detran Services Portal.
If you have difficulties, due to updating data, name, address, among others, the procedure can be requested by Poupatempo or more guidance can be done in person.
Why apply for CNH Digital?
Having a CNH Digital makes a driver's life easier in many ways. One of them is to be able to consult quickly and at any time the status of the license. You can check scores, fines and whether it is settled or overdue.
In addition, the app has no cost and does not require internet to access the document, and it can even facilitate the presentation of the license when requested by an authority, for example. In other words, without excuses of “I forgot the document at home”: having your wallet digitally and on your cell phone can get rid of that painful fine.

Where to find the CNH security code?
As already mentioned, the CNH security code appears in the paper wallet, the QR Code, on the inside of the document.
You will need this code to obtain CNH Digital on the Denatran portal. Otherwise, you will need to update your document directly in Poupatempo, through the Poupatempo Digital application, or in person.
When requesting CNH Digital through the CDT app, you will receive yet another security code that you must use whenever you need to consult the document online.
Many confuse the security code with those numbers that are on the back of the driver's license. One of these numbers is RENACH and the other (which says SP + numbering) is only for queries on transit agency websites, it is not possible to issue the digital CNH.

the updated license and the code in hand, just go to the Denatran website, register and use the generated code to log in to the Carteira Digital de Trânsito app on your cell phone.
Within the application, you will tap on “Download your CNH” and then you will have access to it whenever you need it.
