We've been on a wave of updates and improvements to social media for some time now, especially when it comes to tools for content creators. Within this, one of the platforms that has made the most effort to give users the most resources and return is Instagram, which launched the “Boost up publication” button to boost posts in the feed.

The feature serves to enhance the results of your publication's reach. It is a help beyond the already known mechanisms, hashtags, likes and sharing.
The system works as a bargaining chip: more exposure on the social network in exchange for a cash investment. Roughly speaking, it's paying for an ad, the difference is that you do everything through the Instagram platform, being able to choose how many days the publication will be “turbocharged” – all according to the amount invested.

1. Open your Instagram profile and click on the post you want to boost – it is worth remembering that the platform only allows boosting posts of less than 60 seconds (in the case of videos);
2. Right below the post, click on “Turbinar publication”;
3. Then choose the goal of the boost: whether it's more profile views, more hits or more messages. Then tap “Next”;
4. Define the target audience. If you select the automatic way, Instagram will distribute the base post to your followers. If you choose “Create your own”, you can manually add who the post should go to. Continue by clicking “Next”;
5. In the next step, set the budget – the amount you are willing to pay – and the duration of the ad;
6. Then just add the payment method – or one for yourself – check the settings and click on “Turbine publication”.
